Finally, a Farmhouse Duplex!

Builders are always looking for fresh, exciting, and inspired designs for subdivisions. We’ve created a collection of exciting new duplexes, not the least of which capture the charm and allure of a farmhouse. This new Farmhouse Duplex “10 Gallon” will fit in just about anywhere you choose to build it, while still standing out as the most beautiful home on the block.

The three exterior options for this modern house plan are all uniquely conceived yet form a cohesive collection. We’ve designed the floor plans to be virtually identical, save for a slight tweak to the kitchen to accommodate the upper floor staircase. Entering into the main floor, you’ll find yourself in the open concept kitchen/dining room/great room layout. The kitchen looks out the front of the home and gets plenty of light both from the front and the side. An added bonus to both of the kitchens are islands that look out over the dining and great rooms, allowing for a sense of community and space that are often lost in farmhouse duplex designs.

The bedrooms are all laid out at the rear of the floors and are arranged to maximize privacy in such a narrow plan. Bedrooms #2 and #3 sit further forward and are separated by a shared full bathroom. Down the hallway of this farmhouse plan is a full utility room (on both floors). The main bedroom suite gets a private location at the back of the floor, with  plenty of natural light from the back of the house. The en suite bathroom includes side by side sinks and a full size shower/tub combo.

A Skinny Two Story House Plan with Farmhouse Flair

It is often that case that when faced with a tricky, narrow lot, builders don’t have a ton of options for classy, unique home designs. We want to put an end to cookie cutter neighborhoods. This skinny two story house plan captures all of the essence of a warm, inviting farmhouse and wraps it into a neat and narrow footprint fit for any subdivision. This home really is a jewel.

This sleek and lean floor plan starts off with a gorgeous, open main floor. The living room flows into the dining room, which itself flows into the kitchen. A clear sight-line from the kitchen to the living room promotes a warm, familial living space that lends itself wonderfully to entertaining. The main floor also includes a small side porch, a rear entry, two car garage, and a powder room.

The upper floor of this home is where you’ll find all of the bedrooms, as well as a loft (easily converted to a small home office) and the utility room. Starting with the two guest bedrooms, they both sit at the rear of the home and get plenty of natural light. The utility room and full bathroom sit in the hallway, allowing easy access from all of the bedrooms. At the opposite end of the hallway is the vaulted main bedroom suite. This bedroom is a very comfortable size, and gets total privacy from the other two bedrooms. The en suite bathroom of this unique house plan offers the full compliment of deluxe features, including a large walk-in closet, a private toilet, separate tub and shower, and side by side sinks.

Comfortable and Flexible Modern Rustic Barn Home

“Blue Merit” is an exciting new addition to our portfolio. This Modern Rustic Barn Home offers a striking blend of style, class, and function. Upon entering the home, you’ll walk through a breezy foyer into the deluxe kitchen. If you walk straight, you’ll find yourself in the open concept dining room and great room, which feature a fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and covered patio access. The kitchen is an open and flexible L-shape that affords plenty of counter space as well as carefully spaced appliances.

To the left of the great room, you’ll find the garage, the utility room, a full bath, and the second bedroom, the only one on this side of the home. We’ve made sure to design this home to be as private as possible, so as you look over the floor plan, note the zoning of each of the bedrooms. The staircase to the upper floor is also on the left side of the home. It features a very versatile loft/retreat/office space overlooking the great room.

The right side of this modern rustic barn home is where you’ll find the main bedroom suite, as well as a den and a full guest suite. The main bedroom suite is spectacular. You’ll get tons of natural light from the large bank of windows, and access to your own private covered patio. The en suite bath has tons of room to spread out and includes side by side sinks, a large surround walk-in closet, a private toilet, and a standalone tub and shower.

A Rustic Farm Studio Perfect as an ADU or a Primary Residence

Tons of people are choosing to embrace the “less is more” lifestyle, and we think this is the perfect plan to do it with. Not only does this rustic farm studio plan work as a primary residence, it also works extremely well as an ADU for your larger home, as a creative suite, or as an easy to build vacation getaway/rental.

The exterior is elegant in its simplicity, and thanks to the minimal design, can be made drastically different with just different siding or paint choices. We’ve shown it here with a rustic barn exterior, a modern, Scandinavian inspired black and red exterior, and a charming, white farmhouse exterior.

On to the actual floor plan, we’ve placed the living space above the garage for an efficient footprint. As soon as you enter the main floor, you’ll be taken upstairs via a short staircase to the studio. The studio floor plan is arranged to maximize comfort and livability while maintaining an efficient square footage. After arriving upstairs, you’ll turn a quick corner past the bathroom and utility closet to find the main living space. The kitchen is an efficient I shape that maximizes usable space in the living room. As shown in the rendering in the PDF, you can easily fit a small dining table and a full living room set. A fireplace in the living room offers massive comfort points, and there is room on either side to put built in shelving. The bedroom is a comfortable 11′ x 10′, and includes a lengthy closet and a large window that lets in plenty of natural light.

Lovely Two Story Rustic Barnhouse Plan

Few things evoke a feeling of peace and well-being than a well designed farmhouse. This home, “Freedom 46,” has been designed in a rustic barnhouse style evocative of a well preserved, classic barn. Natural materials and finishes keep the exterior grounded in its surroundings, while a comfortable, functional floor plan gives you an easy to maintain and flexible interior.

A charming, understated front porch welcomes you to the front door, through which you’ll be taken into the foyer. The foyer leads you past a decently sized den that easily converts to a third bedroom thanks to the full bathroom right next door. On the left side of the foyer is a utility room that also serves as the garage access. Further into the main floor, you’ll come to the open concept living room/dining room/kitchen. We’ve designed an L-shaped kitchen with a huge island overlooking the great room. This arrangement maximizes the usable space and efficiency of the kitchen. The open layout makes entertaining and serving food as easy as possible.

Rounding out the main floor is the lovely main bedroom suite with a dual access walk-in closet at the back. The attached bath offers everything you need, including side by side sinks, full size shower/tub, and a private toilet. Not to be missed also is a dual sided fireplace that is shared by both the living room and the main bedroom.

The upper floor gives you plenty of space for additional creative projects via a flex room, a smaller loft space, and a final bedroom with an additional full bath right outside. Last but not least is a two car garage out front.

Stunning, Modern Rustic Farmhouse Perfect for an Executive Sized Lot

This home is unlike any other we’ve ever created. A modern rustic farmhouse designed for the customer that knows exactly what they need from their home. We’ve designed the exterior to be simple yet stately, understated yet elegant. One of the focal points of this design is the attached business center at the left of the home. We’ll talk more about this later in the tour.

The main home provides a living experience unlike any other. The main floor and upper floor work together in concert to make your home your ultimate paradise. You’ll enter the home through the covered patio into the foyer. On your left you’ll see the formal dining room, and on your right, the study. Through the dining room is a butler’s pantry that leads to the kitchen. With one of the largest islands we’ve ever put in a kitchen, this kitchen will satisfy every home cook. You’ll never want for counter or storage space. A charming breakfast nook sits at the end of the island and, on beautiful days, can open up to the covered patio through a set of folding doors. There’s a walk in pantry that’s accessible via both the prep space behind the kitchen and the hallway to the craft room.

On the other side of the main floor is a master suite that would make anyone jealous. A small hallway leads past the master bath to a sizable bedroom that looks out the back of the home. The master bath has an incredible set of features found on very few homes. There’s an entire shower room that also houses the bathtub, giving you a full spa experience in the comfort of your own home. You’ll also get a walk-in closet with clearly defined sides for you and your partner.

The upper floor includes another compliment of incredible rooms. There are two additional bedrooms that both have walk-in closets and en suite bathrooms. Expansive Farmhouse Plan with Incredible Features

We’ve designed this farmhouse plan to be as captivating as possible. Tons of windows, subtle, elegant arches, and plenty of nods to the farmhouse style that we love so well. The floor plan reflects this same sense of grandeur and elegance inside the home.

The sweeping, covered patio warmly welcomes you into your home and sets the stage for what’s to come. Once inside the home, you’ll be greeted by a stunning vaulted foyer that is flanked on either side by an open dining room and a den. The den is accessed via sliding doors, and includes a small closet should you want to use this as another bedroom. Further into the home, you’ll see the spacious, open kitchen/great room space. This kitchen is sure to satisfy the most ambitious of home cooks. It includes a massive island, bountiful cabinet space, and a walk-in pantry. The beautiful master suite awaits on the right side of the home. This master suite is absolutely delightful; inside, you’ll see both a walk-in closet in the bedroom AND through the bathroom. One Story Modern House Plan with Dual Bedroom  Suites

This is the ultimate in compact housing! We’re bringing you a one story modern house plan that cuts down on wasted space and maximizes comfort and ease of living.

The exterior is largely symmetric, and outwardly reflects the feeling of peace you’ll get once inside the home. A gentle, sweeping, shed roof line completes the look and invites you inside.

Once inside the foyer, you’ll see straight ahead the open, flowing central living core. The great room, dining room, and kitchen are all arranged without obstruction. The kitchen sits in the corner with an island close by that looks out over the great room and dining room. This further connects the room and enhances the feeling of connection. In the great room, you’ll get a fireplace, a huge wall of windows, and sliding door access to the large lanai.

Mark Stewart Home Design is on the leading edge of the recent surge in farmhouse style homes, and this modern farm house is part of a brand new collection of these designs. This style is marked by rustic materials, comfortable and functional floor plans, and traditional exteriors and roof lines.

Ponderosa is a truly special modern farm house. With a unique, airy floor plan, a huge, ultra-functional garage, and amazing covered outdoor spaces, you’re certain to fall in love. This rustic home captures all of the charm and style of a large farmhouse and presents it in a compact, easy to build package. At just under 800 square feet, it’s a great option for the single person or couple that knows exactly what they need from their home. However, that isn’t to say that it doesn’t have plenty of great, flexible features.

Approaching the home, you’ll see the large bank of windows that look out of the great room. Just to the left is the entry, which puts you right in the great room. Once inside the home, you’ll get a real sense for how much bigger this home lives than the square footage would make you think. With a vaulted ceiling, adjoining dining room, fireplace, and folding door access to the outdoor living space, it’ll feel like you’re in a much larger home. Just off of the great room is a lovely den, something not often found in homes of this size.

The kitchen of this modern farmhouse plan is fully featured and includes an island/bar for more informal dining. We’ve taken all of the appeal and charm of the classic farmhouse and distilled it down into a studio plan that will fit on tons of lots. With this plan you get a compact yet flexible design that affords you either an additional rental on your property, a primary residence (with the addition of a kitchen), an art studio, a gym, or anything else you can imagine.

A large two car garage with extra depth adds room for a project area or extra storage, and a staircase to the right of the garage will take you up to the studio/loft. Here is where you can really let your imagination run wild. There is a very sizable storage closet just near the main door, as well as a full bathroom and room to build out a kitchen if you’d like.

We’re very happy to present you with this deluxe rustic farmhouse. The floor plan has been very thoughtfully laid out and we’ve made sure to include all the stylistic elements that make farmhouses so desirable. Walking up to the home, you’ll see the delightful, inviting front deck and you’ll be led into the foyer. To the left you’ll see the utility room and on the right, the guest room. This front guest room is great because it has a full bath right next door that makes it work well as an extended stay space. Moving further into the home, you’ll be taken into the large, open concept central living core. Made up of the dining room, living room, and kitchen, this area promotes a great sense of flow throughout the home. This sense of flow is further aided by the folding door access to the large covered back patio, which spans over 2/3 of the back of the home. The kitchen is an efficient L-shape with a comfortable island in the center that maximizes counter space and usability. This home includes not one, but two(!) vaulted master suites, with one of them on the main floor just off the living room. Both suites have the same layout, with a 14×14 bedroom, two walk-in closets, double sinks, and a large shower. In this latest in our line of rustic yet modern farm house designs, we’ve packed tons of features, flexibility, and freedom. You’ll arrive to a cozy covered porch ahead and a large three car garage on your left. Entering through the foyer, you’ll see a formal dining room on your left which benefits from the front facing bank of windows.

Straight ahead you’ll find yourself in the grand central living space. The great room includes a vaulted ceiling, ample built-in storage, and a large fireplace. The nook and the kitchen are never too far away. The kitchen includes an expansive island that houses the sink and dishwasher, as well as a large counter behind with plenty of cabinet space.

The casual dining nook opens up to the outdoor living room, which itself sprawls all the way across to the master suite. Spanning the hallway from the kitchen to the dining room is a lovely butler’s pantry that includes more cabinet space and a small sink for additional food prep. Moving to the right side of the main floor, you’ll see the deluxe master suite as well as a comfortable vaulted study placed at the front of the home.
