This is the 2009 HBA Excellence award winning house plan in the 500k-575k catagory. BC Custom Homes built this fantastic Mark Stewart Custom Design for The Bates Family. You can see why its an award winning design. There is tremendous sharing of space with the main floor flooded with daylight from the rooftop clerestory. The kitchen is gourmet and leads to an outdoor kitchen area adjacent. The Great Room has 12 ft. ceilings and shares the dramatic clerestory windows. A main floor master suite with designer bath and wardrobe are on the private back side of the home. A main floor den with tall ceilngs is just off the Foyer which is also airy and light. Downstairs are two bedrooms suites, a Large storage room and a wine cellar. The main floor of this home will blow you away. It feels like a home of twice its size yet all the luxuries are here. Stunning Contemporary House Plan

We’ve distilled all of the features from our favorite contemporary plans to create the ultimate, “sized just right” home for a tricky lot. This plan can be adapted for even the toughest of sloping lots. The exterior screams contemporary, northwest modern with its clean, shed roof, its use of natural materials, and a silhouette that compliments the landscape instead of distracting from it.

You’ll enter this home one of two ways: through the main floor entrance next to the kitchen, or through the garage, up the stairs, and into the great room. We’ve designed the main floor to feel open and communal in the central spaces, while maintaining thoughtfully zoned and private bedrooms on either end of the home. The kitchen benefits from an L-shaped layout that maximizes usable counter space thanks to a central island and creative appliance placement. A large pantry in the corner completes the kitchen. The great room boasts massive floor to ceiling windows that will help you take advantage of even the most breathtaking of views. This theme carries into the main suite, where another large bank of windows look out behind the home, downhill of wherever you should choose to build.

Speaking of the main suite, this bedroom gets the entire right wing of the house all to itself, and even includes a private, wraparound deck that looks to the side and downhill. The bathroom in this suite includes side by side sinks, a large walk-in closet, a private toilet, and an oversized, custom shower. This plan also includes two additional bedrooms on the left side, both comparable sizes with a full bath between the two.

We are very pleased to have been asked to design another Extreme Home for ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Legend Homes , this time right in our own backyard.

A very deserving family in Corvallis needed a new home in the worst way, we were fortunate enough to have a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 4 car garage, house plan already pretty close to what the site and the family needed, so we were able to make pretty big revisions and turn the working drawings around in about 10 days.

This custom house plan house worked out magnificently well thanks to the design team and the awesome team at Legend Homes, who built a beautiful one of a kind dream home in about 4 days without cutting any corners.

If you view the plans for this dream house you will see that it has an open concept floor plan with the kitchen overlooking the dining room and great room area. Two rooms are at the front of the home which can be used for home offices or additional bedrooms, 3 bedrooms are on the right side, and the master suite is towards the back of the home.
