Here is a truly exciting design!!!! I designed this home to accomodate a narrow (40) foot lot (50 with three car garage option) and also to give maximum livability to a large family. There are optimum sized formal rooms and a well placed maximum sized kitchen and family room. There is a private den and a luxurious master suite on the main level. Upstairs are 3 big bedrooms and a bonus room.. All of this is in just over 2700 square feet, a miracle in itself. The house lives very large but will fit any lot… It also is one of the most exciting of our MSA Prairie line with its multiple hipped roofs and broad eaves. This was the plan chosen from among all nationally available stock plans for a Home Magazine Sponsored Show House in The Chicago Street Of Dreams. Dubbed “The Well Crafted Home” by magazine editor Gayle Steves, this design was published by Home Magazine and has grown in popularity ever since. Some of the photographs on the toolbar to the right are taken from the ShowHouse itself. The sleek, sophisticated Prairie style is timeless, and along with this flexible and time tested floor plan, we have produced a best seller. Notice the back stairway and vaulted family room. This plan also has one of the biggest bonus rooms in its class. The master suite is luxurious and private.

This has been the most succesful design debuting in the highly competitive Desginers Showcase Of Homes. Builders and buyers have both flocked to the open great room degin on the main floor. As the pictures reveal this arrangement gives way to long views through the home, and this along with the graceful coved ceilings give the feeling of much more space that is really here. The main floor master suite has also been a favorite among couples and parents of older children. The kitchen is truly generous as is the dinig room.. The basement in this house offers great flexibility. Some of my clients have finished the entire lower floor while others build it just like the plan. Both options are possible with the stock plan. Frank Lloyd Wright influenced uphill design !!! Look at the size of this family room. It faces the view and opens to the generous gourmet kitchen. The excitment continues upstairs with the view facing Master Suite and large secondary bedrooms. Volume ceilings can be found at the foyer and living room. A very deep three car garage is on the lower level.

This is another Designers Showcase original built by Don Hunt Construction, one of my favorite homebuilders. A striking uphill MSA Prairie design is what you get here.
